NOTE: I am not sure this is in the right thread-but I couldn't find a thread for films other than JP, so I created this topic here. Feel free to move this topic if it's in the wrong place. When I was little, this awesome documentary called 'Giant Monsters' was aired on Animal Planet. Unfortunately, the film never really aired again. The website was up for many years, and eventually I found the film on Youtube. Suddenly, when I was looking into the film again, it was just all gone. Vanished. My hypothesis is that Animal Planet didn't like the horrific giant spider scene because 1. It was too scary for little kids and 2. found out that the giant spiders never did exist, and really the fossils were of a sea scorpian creature. Still, even if it was proven that the creatures were not spiders, why not just show the film on television and make the spider scene a 'deleted scene' and explain why it was a deleted scene in the commentary? Either way, now only a few images from the movie remain on the internet. Here are the ones I could find: While it seems like there is no hope to ever finding or at least seeing good images of this fantastic documentary again, I have found something online that will surely give us a good glimpse at what we haven't been able to see in years: This book will hopefully contain plenty of images from the film, and I shall update this post and share them with you once I get the book. Stay tuned to see this film that was seemingly erased from time....
