10 Cloverfield Lane had its moments, but I didn't really like it.

10 Cloverfield Lane had its moments, but I didn't really like it. Your expectations were off, maybe? Or the weird ending just didn't work for you?

So in that Zootopia movie, where the heck are the Sauropsids? How about a shark?

Yeah, the Zootpoia movie was disappointingly devoid. That seemed to have only animals they could make exceedingly cute.

I went in knowing it didn't tie in with Cloverfield. Spoilers below, if you haven't seen it. I liked John Goodman. His character was good. The others were alright, too. There were some great scenes of suspense (when Michelle makes her first try to escape, when she escapes via the duct and Howard is stabbing his knife into it). But overall I just found it boring, and the ending was weird. The scene with the big alien ship thing when Michelle's throws the flaming bottle of alcohol into, subsequently causing it to crash, reminded me of the recent War of the Worlds when Tom Cruise gets the grenade into a similar alien ship. The scene just seemed like a ripoff of the latter. Saying I didn't like it is actually not the truth. I didn't dislike it, I did enjoy crunching my popcorn and sipping soda throughout. But I certainly won't see it again and definitely won't add it to my home video collection.

A clear bias towards mammals...of course it would fit well with the racism theme. Judy: Only a rabbit is allowed to call a rabbit cute! Lord Crocington: But calling a Reptile abhorrent is okay? We also pretty much prefer the term Sauropsid. Meanwhile in the real world:

We have quite a few Belgium forum members: is everyone safe and sound? Im alive and well... Hope the same goes for the rest of our Belgian forum members. Stay strong and don't let things get you down for good. These bas**rds won't win, nor will those capitalizing on the fear they spread. Humanity is better than that, I like to think.

No problem for me either. I was in Brussels today for work, but far from the two attack sites. Still, our building was locked down for the whole day, we couldn't leave it even to get lunch, for our safety, of course... A very sad day for Belgium.

Continuing everyday routine, as we should not be doing otherwise because we can't let terrorism bring us down: BvS: DoJ is fairly good, but not great.
