Also surprised to see this place still chugging along. Why not move to discord?

Because forums like this one are the hidden jewels of the Internet. May they survive as long as even one of us is still around!!!

This maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think Discord is overrated. Traditional forums ftw!

Discord isn't good for every community, thats true. But I think internet forums need to modernize a bit

Which depends entirely on those who use them. I like traditional forums since they retain a sense of community without the need for instant gratification. You’ll get to read all the feedback anyway whenever someone posts. All you have to do is to visit whenever you want to. What’s not to like? Then there’s the safety of relative anonymity that modern tools might compromise. IMO Discord is just an overly elaborate chat room and we’ve had chat rooms long before it. But that’s just my opinion. It’s a changing world.

But that’s just my opinion. It’s a changing world. You're "spot on". A forum like this is a place where you can easily search and find a topic or thread you are looking for. FB, OTOH, operates on the addicting,"crack-like", "endless scrolling" model which disappears everything posted continually (which makes it effectively impossible to search because - how do you search for something that you don't know someone has posted about? ) and is designed to suck people in and get them addicted to the FB $$$-generating model more than it is to giving them a place to have a civilized discussion like this forum.
