Just noticed that old posts get deleted and stuff. Why? They should all be kept.

Just noticed that old posts get deleted and stuff. Why? They should all be kept. I delete them because over time it slows the forum down. It's recommended by proboards to do so. Plus, I don't really see the need to keep over 2 years really.

It would be good if you had a forum hosted on the site. Maybe like PHP or something. Then they could stay forever.

Yes, that idea was discussed many years ago but Proboards is the best free hosting fourm out there IMO and we've been with them for so long that completely starting over wouldn't make much sense at this point. Definitely a possibility if/when we get a site redesign. Don't hold you breath though...

I agree changing now would not be great. Anyway, any news on that re-design? Maybe when JPIV gets in production . Anyway, thanks Dan!

You could've at least kept the Meaningless Threads. I beleive most of the evidence ot the thoughts we have in those is better left deleted

Maybe just the important threads could be saved, like the Ultimasaurus discovery, Scutosaurus, etc.? Also some other vital news...
