I bought a newer release of Jurassic Park on DVD! It's weird because the other movies in this release have the same logo (even JP3).

Wow, the vast movie library available on BD in America never fails to amaze me... Yeah some companies here cater to us movie collectors ...like shout factory... I mostly get mine from walmart online store or fleamarket though.. I have a acquired taste for low budget crap done well...lol

Hannibal seasons one and two (season three is on its way); I've held off watching the show for fearing it would be too gruesome - despite enjoying the original films and novels, the little I'd read and seen on the show made me shy away from it.
I'm not sure what triggered me to start watching the first season; curiosity, I suppose. While the butcherings are grotesque, the show and its characters are executed in delicately: there are few TV-shows with such a strong cast, both the principals and supporting actors are top-notch.
Graham's journey deep into the mind of ruthless murderers and into his own is captured in a refined way. While the events cross the boundaries of realism, the writing, visuals and actors keep the whole show on track - though sometimes just.
For those shocked by the infamous "brain scene" from Hannibal (2001), this series might be too much - the violence and mutilation are beyond anything seen in the film(s). The acting, cinematography and music make it worth watching and prevent this show from being mindless slasher material. While choosing its own path, it shows great respect for the source material. It's worth a try.
