Which is why I tried to stress mentioning it not as a political discussion but a datapoint in patterns of human behavior. You see, when you understand the mechanisms and behavior you *can* start to predict things--Agent K was right, people in large numbers really are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals rivaling the flock of Gallimimi in the original movie.

I use Twitter as my main news source; quite a few guys on there (including Chris) who are right on top of all the latest information. the IMDB boards for the Jurassic Park films used to be a great source of information as well, some very knowledgeable fans were active on those, but after Harry-whatever-his-name became insufferable and the best topics and discussions were continuously deleted (we still think he's behind it, because the threads deleted were usually on similar issues), many people left, not finding it worth the time and effort to post anything, knowing it would be gone in a few hours.

JPtoys was my home growing up, and was my first real interaction within the community. I had done a lot of heavy lurking prior to joining the forums in 2003, here and elsewhere.. but this was the place that kept me hooked. This place is great, but needs to become more active! The Twitter JP/JW fans are the coolest, nicest people out there IMO. I of course write for JurassicOutpost.com (previously JurassicWorld.org), and am fairly happy about what we have done with that place.. However, previously it was more of a news hub and podcast, with not too much iteration.. but we just launched our forums which are growing very fast. JPLegacy obviously is longstanding, and has a brilliant encyclopedia and the largest active JP forums.

*Deleted every recent fight posts, and I'll ask you people to either keep it civil, or to keep it to PMs/Facebook/whatever other means. Our website has nothing to do with this "war", and it will stay that way. Thanks, people.

Honestly, for me, this is the place to be. That or Twitter. I used to browse JPLegacy rapidly back in the day before things went downhill with people over there, but I am grateful for this place and I think the new Jurassic Outpost forums will be very exciting in the future.

I won't comment any further, but I certainly feel bad for all that work that will be lost due to the complete shutdown. I too wish JPT was more active, but it's seems social media is the replacement for discussion forums. I feel we lose something with this change. I'm also a member of the JurassicOutpost forum and look forward to watching it grow. Cheers to every one and thanks for answering! -AC

This place is my go to for all things Jurassic. While a lot of news breaks on Facebook and other social media, this is where I come to discuss.
We aren't the most active community but I feel all of us are quite dedicated to the franchise and its merchandise.

I just discovered today that JPLegacy is officially gone now. I enjoyed the site for its content and information, but I never did any forums there. From what I heard, it's kind of bittersweet in that aspect. What other sites are there now, movie content-wise, that have lots of info?

Just wanted to come back here and thank everyone for thier replies.
It's tough when a community is large, but spread thin online. Maybe the major news of Mattel getting the JP license in 2018 will shake things up?
I'm of course a fan of Jurassic Outpost and use it to get my movie related news. I still come here often though as it is my go to place for toy news. It's tough to keep going with so little happening from Hasbro and with the JW 2015 debacle it just I just don't have the same passion for these newer toys compared to the old stuff!
Cheers!

Cheers! -AC No problem! It does suck for a JP fan to have trouble finding community; this is the only place I frequent for anything Jurassic Park, and I'm very grateful for this site. Yeah, it's mostly a toy-based site, but people still talk about the movies, rumors, video games, etc. all the time. Back when JW was in "development hell", I wondered what the toys would be like. I thought it'd be a race to get the cool toys for yourself, just like with the other movies. This time, with the long-running success of the series, the toys would be an even hotter commodity! ...Except that most of the JW toys weren't cool, and it was a monopoly for scalpers, which we didn't have to worry about as much before. I'm optimistic that we'll get better toys, but not about the "scalper problem".
