When somebody seems in a mood to quarrel, ProBoards has a feature called a Block List--don't respond to 'em, just Block and focus your attention to more productive efforts. To use it, click on the offending user's name to go to their profile, then click the gear near the top right. It'll pop up a menu, where you can select "Block User." Click that, and it pops up a box with four checkboxes: - Hide this member's posts--never see their posts again, so you won't be tempted to respond.
- Do not let this member start new conversations with me--if you don't wanna see their posts, you probably don't want to receive messages from them either; if they want to apologize, they can ask a Mod to pass it along.
- Do not let this member follow me or my activities--prevents them from keeping tabs on your actions to actively troll you.
- Block notifications from this member--self-explanatory.
Just a quick tip for a less heated forum experience... I've used this to good effect for many years.
