Okay so the other day I was walking home, when I smelled something great : It was the smell of someone cooking snails in a restaurant nearby. It made me super hungry (even though snails themselves taste meh to me, but the things they add to it, like the sauce or something, is AMAZING) so when I got home, I kinda talked about it with friends, and they were HORRIFIED.
Turned out americans and people from non-french countries really don't like being reminded we eat snails ^^" . It made me smile a lot, because everyone started sharing facts about weird foods in their countries.
And then I though "Hey, I should do that onthis forum too", because I'm sure some of you guys have food some people would think is weird.
I've talked about snails, but to be honnest I never eat them. FROGS, though, I'd take a bullet for frogs.

To some people it even tastes like the stuff that it resembles.

Apparently they're pretty big, while ours tend to be smaller (and we only really eat the legs)... damn I'm hungry.

In my country's language it is called mämmi, a dessert. It is also used to refer to someone as being clumsy by saying that the person has mämmihands.

I don't know if is weird but a cousin's wife used to make Toasted Subs with Mayo, Ham, Ranch Style Beans and Pickled Pigskins. It was sooo tasty.
